You want to keep your hires. Hopefully, these tips will help you build a long-lasting relationship with your caregivers. First, be considerate. In other words, be nice to your caregivers. Be respectful of their lives and make sure you build a cordial relationship. Second, be prepared for externalities. For example, should there be a payroll problem (this will happen at least once) be prepared to cover the cost. It would be a good idea to keep a small savings account should this problem arise. Additionally, be willing to cover shifts. People get sick, life happens. Your caregiver needs to be able to take off in case of emergency. Now, there is a line between emergency and being unreliable. However, should you follow these steps, your caregivers will want you to succeed, and they will work to be reliable.
