Alternative testing

The Center for Students with Disabilities (CSD) offers an alternative testing service. With this service, you are allowed to take your exam in the CSD. This way, you are able to obtain services such as a quiet space, a scribe, text-to-speech (Kurzweil) electronic format, or even a reader who will read the test to you. You can also receive extra time for the exam. The typical time allowed is time and a half. However, you can also receive double time, but you have to explain to your coordinator why you need double time. It is your responsibility to schedule a time to take the exam at the CSD. To schedule the time, you will use the portal to enter the date and time you'd like to take the exam. You will usually take the exam the same day as your class, unless you have a conflict in your SCHOOL schedule. A couple of notes. First, you need to schedule the exam a week in advance. In the case of finals, you should schedule the test a month in advance. Second, your professor will not be at the CSD, so if you have questions during the exam, you will have to make a note on the exam (most professors don't answer questions during exams anyways).
